What is a Sports Doctor?
A Sports Doctor is a Doctor with specialised training in sport and exercise. A Sports Doctor diagnoses, treats, and rehabilitates your sports or exercise related injuries and disorders such as sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations, and contusions. They also develop programs to help prevent or reduce sports or exercise related injuries.
Do Sports Doctors only treat competitive athletes?
No. For the 'weekend warrior' or non athlete who experiences an injury, the same expertise used for a competitive athlete can be applied to return you as quickly as possible to full function
What are the benefits?
The Sports Doctor will help you maximize function and minimise disability and time away from sport, school or work.
