Services - C.A.T.T.S.
What C.A.T.T.S C.A.T.T.S is a Clinical Assessment, Triage and Treatment Service that provides you with quick and easy access to an expert opinion on your musculoskeletal (muscle, joint and/or bone) condition. It is a specialist service that has been set up in conjunction with local GP's and you must be referred directly by them in order to access it.
What conditions can benefit from CA.T.T.S.? All musculoskeletal conditions can benefit from the assessment, advice and/or treatment from C.A.T.T.S. These include:
Back and neck problems
General aches and pains
Shoulder, elbow and hand problems
Arthritis
Hip, knee, ankle and foot problems
How does CA.T.T.S work? The Service has a team of specialist health professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal problems. They will ask you a series of questions and perform a thorough assessment of your problem. If necessary they may also recommend other investigations e.g. X-rays, blood tests etc be done so that the nature of the problem is established. Depending on the findings during the assessment, you may be referred to Physiotherapy, a Specialist in the Hospital, or perhaps offered some advice on managing your condition yourself.
The service enables you to see the right person, at the right time, so you can receive the best possible advice and/or treatment. |
